Margaret Pennington

Margaret M. Pennington, 92, Thousand Oaks, Calif., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., passed away May 18, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. Interment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society . Although Margaret had many hobbies, such as sewing, bowling, Girl Scout Leader, and R.V.'ing, total devotion to her family that she loved and cared for so deeply is what she lived for. To the end, she was more concerned for her daughters and others than she was for herself. She will be truly missed here on earth, but we rejoice in the fact that she is in the presence of her Lord. Margaret was preceded in passing by her first husband, Chet Pennington; second husband, T.I. Pennington; and daughter, Delores Craner. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra (John) Handlos and Darlene Jones; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister, Vivian Nelson.
