Margaret "Marge" Vogel

Margaret (Marge) Vogel, 60, Overland park, KS passed with peace and grace on December 8, 2016 with her family at her side. Survived by husband, Dennis, daughter Brandi, son-in-law, Jordan Scafe, and granddaughter, Kaelyn Scafe, mother, Pat Eaton, brother, Berry and sister-in-law, Debbie Eaton, lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by Jack D. Eaton, Father; Jerry D. Eaton, brother; and Amber Nicole Vogel, daughter.
Marge grew up in Topeka, KS. She graduated from Topeka West High School and attended Washburn University. She married the love of her life on September 30, 1978, in Topeka, KS. Shortly after their marriage, they relocated to Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where they received their most precious gift, their daughter Brandi Christine. After a short stay in Omaha, NE, they put their final roots down in Kansas City. Upon settling in Kansas City, Marge started her own business, Interior Finishes by Marge Vogel. During her 25 plus years in the business, Marge decorated over 400 model homes in the Metro area, representing some of the top builders in the KC market place. Throughout the years, Marge celebrated numerous awards for her model homes and her designs were published in Better Homes and Garden.
Even though her designs were many, her real love was being mom to Brandi. With Brandi came horses. That meant horse shows, 4H and World Horse Shows. Every weekend was packed with family trips to horse shows all over the country. Between Marge and Brandi there was nothing they could not accomplish at a show. Where one went the other followed. All Marge had to see was an idea, and she could make the most gorgeous riding outfits.
The final piece to the puzzle, was son-in-, Jordan , and a granddaughter, Kaelyn. Her life was filled with love and excitement for her family and friends. A smile and a laugh would fill her heart. And with the family and friends that surrounded her, it was filled to the max. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11th, from 5-8:00pm at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. Services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, December 12th, in the Wesley Chapel at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS.
