Marguerite Hodge

On February 13, 2019, Marguerite Jane Hodge, loving wife and mother of three, passed away at the age of 85 in Kansas City, MO.

Marguerite was born on Christmas Day, 1933 in Pittsburgh, KS to Dwight and Doris Hickman. In May 1954, she married Elwyn Ray Hodge. She enjoyed gardening, baking, helping in organizing the Stanley Rural High School class reunions, and was especially delighted in reconnecting with classmates. She was a regular member of Sunday School, loved to work large puzzles with dear neighbors, researching Genealogy, and spoiling her great grandchildren. Valley View United Methodist Church was her church home for over 55 years.

She is survived by her husband Ray, two daughters Barbara Hodge and Kathy (Douglas) Stevens, her brother Jim (Jeanne) Hickman, 3 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren who cherished their “Mams" dearly.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Hodge; sisters, Mary Barnett, Jeanette Van Hercke, Charlyne Hickman, Virginia Kellerman; and her parents.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 17 at 1 PM, with Celebration of Life starting at 2:00 pm, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
