Maria Lopez, 91, loving Mother and Grandmother passed away April 1, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. A visitation will be held the same morning at 9:30 A.M.
Maria was the oldest of six children. Maria first married Luis Martinez they were happily married for 8 years until his passing. Years later Maria met and married Pascual Lopez, they spent many happy years together. Maria was a Homemaker from the beginning of marriage where she loved spending time and taking care of her family.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Urbano and Paula; sister, Virginia Carrillo; brother, Tony Carrillo; husband, Luis Martinez; husband, Pascual Lopez; daughter, Romelia Martinez; son, Arthur Martinez; grandson, Steve Martinez.
Survivors include brothers, Martin, Jesse (Vivian), Phillip (Josie), and David (Andrea) Carrillo; son, Louis (Patricia) Martinez; daughter, Maria (Robert) LeDesma; grandchildren, Lisa (David) Stoll, Robin (John) Railsback, Robert (Renee) LeDesma Jr., Patti Ann (John) Avelluto, Louise (Carmen) Martinez; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
