Marie Clark

Leila Marie Clark, 89, Leawood, passed away Sunday, August 29th, 2021.  Marie was born November 17, 1931 in Emporia, Kansas to Byron and Leila (Bennett) Cozad. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles, in 1954. Marie retired from Walz Tetrick Advertising after many years of working for them.  Marie was a member of the Overland Park Christian Church for over 30 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Stanley (now Village Presbyterian Church) for over 10 years.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles.  She also loved to read a good book and was a member of a neighborhood book club.  Marie and Charlie shared countless adventures together and loved to travel.

Marie was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Tally.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles; son, Dan Clark; daughter, Lori Heavilin; grandchildren:  Andrew Clark (Brianne), Brooke Heavilin, Cole Heavilin, Bryan Killman and Amber Killman; brothers:  Lawrence Cozad (Nancy) and Kenneth Cozad (Helen) and 10 great-grandchildren.   Memorial contributions are suggested to the Village Presbyterian Church on Antioch, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS 66221.
