Mrs. Marie Freeseman

August 21, 1932 — February 16, 2012

Marie Lenora Freeseman died on February 16th, 2012. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa and grew up in Union County South Dakota. Her parents were Reubin and Glenora Albin. After living in many different states, she and her husband George Freeseman settled first in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and then moved to Overland Park in 1971. They were members of Overland Park Lutheran Church since 1971. Marie served in many facets of Women's Ministries. Both the Leah Circle and the Christian Women's Clubs were dear to her heart, where she formed many close friendships. Her lifelong love of sewing and gardening created a beautiful life for all those around her. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, George Freeseman, and their 6 children, Pat Freeseman (Harold Meyer), Tom Freeseman (Jean), Doug Freeseman (Felicia), Laura Freeseman-Freeman (Ken), Julie Kovar (Jim), and John Freeseman (Fiona), fourteen grandchildren, and one sister Gladys Grace (William) of Portland Oregon. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 20, followed by the Memorial Service at 2 o'clock, both at the Overland Park Lutheran Church, 7810 W. 79th St, Overland Park, KS 66204. Interment will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to K.C. Hospice House, or Overland Park Lutheran Church.
