GRACE MARIE LILGENDAHL
Grace Marie Lilgendahl, 84, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away March 22, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 11:00 am at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. A private burial at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens will follow the service.
Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles of 61 years and her daughter Janet Marie. She is survived by her son Charles and wife Elizabeth of St. Louis, MO and daughter Carol and husband Ron of Colorado Springs, CO.
Grace was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church at 12850 Quivira Road, Overland Park, KS, 66213. Kindly omit flowers, and the family suggests contributions to her church. Grace loved to garden and she and her husband had many tours through their gardens where model trains ran among the flowers. She volunteered at many organizations including Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kaleidoscope and Della Lamb Neighborhood House. She was loved by family and friends and will be fondly remembered.
