Sandra Marie Turner, age 62, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was born on December 4, 1949 in San Antonio, TX, daughter of Erna (Wilhelm) and Norwood Saunders.
Sandra was a very hard working, dedicated, strong willed, strong minded, strong hearted lady.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband Walter Turner, son-in-law Jon Martin, her parents, and her brother Red Saunders.
Survivors include; son Kelly Gillaspie and wife Lisa Dague, daughter, Rena Martin, Janet Leos and husband Brian Hall, grandchildren; J.T. and wife Alysa Martin, Justin Martin, Cody Fowler, and soon to arrive great grandchild, Kaylee Martin; brother, Gary Saunders and his son, Victor Saunders. Sandra is also survived by two special family friends, Brian Meinert and Carol Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Monday, July 2, 2012 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Burial will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the KU Liver Fund.
