Marilyn Lants Cook, 69, of Fairway, Kansas, passed away November 20, 2007, at the Johnson County Nursing Center, Olathe, Kansas.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at the Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Johnson County Nursing Center, 11875 S. Sunset Dr., Suite 100, Olathe, KS 66061.
Marilyn was born July 27, 1938, to Patrick and Peggy Humphrey in Kansas City and graduated in 1956 from Shawnee Mission High School. Marilyn attended the University of Kansas and graduated from UMKC. Marilyn was a resident of the Kansas City area for most of her life but spent several years living in the Florida Keys. Marilyn held a variety of positions and also worked as a realtor in the Kansas City area.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Greenlee, Overland Park, Kan.; son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Leslie Lants, Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren Robert Greenlee, Andrew Greenlee, Matt Greenlee, and Timothy Greenlee of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Katie Lants, Anna Lants, and Kyle Lants of Little Rock, Ark.; and great grandchildren Mya and Ayden Greenlee of Shawnee Mission, Kan. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ed and Jan Dexter of Leawood, Kan.
