Marilyn Schmidt

Marilyn Ann Schmidt 81, died on Sept. 28, 2019 at Overland Park Regional. She was born October 28, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Everett Paul and Florence Ann (Bjornberg) Kunold. She retired after 25 years as the church secretary for the Leawood United Methodist Church. She married her High School Sweetheart Bob Schmidt and they were married for 61 years. She was always a loving Mom and she felt that her greatest accomplishment and joy was being a mother.

She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters Jane Schmidt, Karen DeMoss and husband Dan, Son Dean Schmidt and wife Melissa and daughter Diane Schmidt.

Grandchildren Zachary Strait, Andrea Strait, Nicholas Schmidt, Jonathan Schmidt, Caroline Schmidt, Jackson Schmidt and Conner DeMoss.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son David Paul Schmidt.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Wednesday October 2, 2019 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial will be at the Johnson County Memorial Park.
