Marion Gilliland

Marion Marie Gilliland died May 16, 2018 at a local hospital. She was born December 20, 1927 in Bee, NE, the only child of Joseph and Frances Bulicek Buresh. She married Myles Gilliland on August 15, 1947 in Omaha, NE and lived most of her life in Kansas. After 60 years of marriage, Myles preceded her in death in 2007. She retired from Topeka Sate Hospital in December 1989 after 11 years and was a member of First Christian Church in Topeka. She is survived by Michael (Rebecca) Gilliland of Pleasant Hill, MO, Mark (Janet) Gilliland of Louisburg, KS, Maurene (Michael) Clinkenbeard of Hulbert, OK, and Margie (Patrick) Hill of Topeka, KS; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. The burial of the cremated remains of both Marion and Myles has taken place at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, https://secure.dav.org/site/Donation
