Marjorie Coretta Herman, 91, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away February 22, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25th from 6-8 pm at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 10:00 am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd St., Overland Park, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145.
Marjorie was born on July 13, 1919 in Odessa, Missouri. She was married to Paul Leon Herman in 1935. In 1963 she served as hostess to the wives at the Missouri Oil Jobbers Convention in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and daughter Sharon Mitchell. She is survived by daughters June Vaughn and husband Jim of Emporia, KS, Lila Packard of Overland Park, KS, and Paula Selvidge of Salem, OR, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
