Mrs. Marjorie L Turrell

Marjorie L. Turrell, 98, Lenexa, KS, passed away on December 30, 2009, at Lakeview Village. A private memorial observance is planned. She was born March 5, 1911, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Henry Leo Hentzen and Edith Mae Austin Hentzen. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the Shawnee Mission Unified School District. She married Henry M. Turrell on October 19, 1933. He died June 7, 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers H. Kenneth Hentzen and Gene L. Hentzen, and a son-in-law William H. Ward. Survivors include a son Leman H., Cincinnati, OH; a daughter Laurie Turrell Ward, Lawrence, KS; and a niece. The family suggests memorials to the Kappa Eta Kappa Scholarship for electrical engineering students, The Kansas University Endowment Association, P.O. Box 928, Lawrence, KS 66044-0928.
