Marjorie Dell Schroeder

Marjorie D. Schroeder, age 86, formerly of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Sylvia G Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia, MO. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, 5-18-2023 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park. Visitation will be at 12:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.

Marjorie was born December 19, 1936, in Fayette, MO the daughter of Thomas and Leah Ruth Gibbs. After graduating from high school in Slater, MO she moved to Kansas City, where she met and married her husband. The were happily married for 40 years.

She was a loving wife and mother. After the loss of her husband, she moved to Blue Springs where she most enjoyed spending time with her family.  Also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, traveling, and attending the First Christian Church.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Schroeder, her parents, two sisters, and a son-in-law.

She is survived by daughters Lisa Rehm and husband Charles of Warsaw, MO and Carol Norman of Rogersville, MO, brother Barry Gibbs and wife June of Blue Springs, MO, 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and other extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Blue Springs.
