Marjorie Spitzengel

Marjorie Deranleau Spitzengel, 94, of Richmond, Texas, passed away and went with the Lord, Tuesday, August 20, 2019.

She was born in Lead, South Dakota on September, 26, 1924, the daughter of Lina Lavell and Wilford Deranleau.  She resided in Richmond, Texas for 5 years and previously lived in Kansas City, Kansas for 70 years.

Marjorie's husband of 50 years, Donald J. Spitzengel, preceded her in death on March 26, 1993. She is survived by 3 children, Dionna Stoll, Walter and his wife Vickie, and Bruce and his wife JoAnn.  She has been blessed with 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

She was active in PTA, Blue Birds, Camp Fire Girls, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Pearl Harbor Survivors.  She was an active member Our Saviour's Lutheran Church from 1954 to 2014. She worked 20 years at the J. C. Penney's Credit in Mission, Kansas.  She traveled 50 states with her husband and family.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM, service 1 PM, on Monday, August 26, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4153 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66103. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
