Marquis F. "Frank" Turner, Jr. of Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, December 26, 2011.
He was born August 10, 1921 in Kansas City, MO, to Marquis F. and Thelma Turner. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Army from 1942-1945. He was self employed for many years and past co-owner of Western Photo and past co-owner of Lawrence Photographic. He has been a life member of the Nazarene Church. He is survived by wife, Nedra of the home, sons Mark [Donna] Turner of Omaha, and Daniel [Jennifer] T. Turner of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters Sandra Jean [Gene] Parker of Arlington, TX, Diana Lynn [Brian] Cage of Shawnee, KS, and Deb Harper of Overland Park; granddaughters, Jennifer Turner, Kathy Farrar, Tarah Yates and Laura Cage and great-granddaughters Amanda Farrar, Kaitlyn Farrar, and Taylor Grace Yates. He is survived by brother J. Paul Turner and sister Shirley Scudday, and many more nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11A.M. - 1P.M., on Friday, December 30, 2011, followed by a 1P.M. service at D.W. Newcomer's Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
