Marsha Landis Wolf

Marsha Gayle Wolf, 62, passed away on December 10 at her home in Lenexa, KS, surrounded by family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Nana who cared deeply for her family and was dedicated to her job and doing it well. Born to George Eldon and Sylvia Jean (Cadwell) Landis of Stilwell, KS on December 4, 1958 in Gardner, she is survived by her husband, Steve Wolf, her children, Andrew, Hannah, Will, and Ben, her grandchildren, Autumn, Adelaide, and Sebastian, her parents, her younger siblings, Christina, Debra, and Jeffrey, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Arik.

She graduated from Avila University in 1986 with a degree in Special Education. After a stint teaching, she changed careers and started working at New York Life as a receptionist, but through promotions and hard work became Project Lead in Reporting and Metrics after moving to Aetna.

She loved making music, in particular playing the piano and singing, and did both while attending Stilwell Baptist Church. An avid painter and photographer, she also enjoyed cooking and baking cakes, and she was intensely interested in genealogy. Exploring and getting lost in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with her family, traveling to places in a car that would normally require a dirt bike or four-wheeler were ideal vacation pastimes for her. Her competitive spirit brought her to playing all sorts of games with her kids and grandkids, who she loved spending time with most of all.

She will be buried in Aubry Cemetery near her grandma Norma Landis. There will be a celebration of life at a later date due to COVID-19 and government regulations.
