Martha P. (Newton) Wheatley, 89, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Martha was born on January 25, 1926 in Kansas City, KS to the late Vernie Lafayette and Grace (Davis) Newton. A lifelong resident of Kansas City she devoted her life to her family was known to always have a warm smile.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband James A. Wheatley, her parents and all 9 of her brothers and sisters. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter Patricia and her husband Ken of Shawnee Kansas.
Martha will be laid to rest with her husband during a private graveside service under the care and coordination of Johnson County Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations in tribute of Martha may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.
