Marvin L. Juiliano, 81, of Leawood, Kan., passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009, at KU Med Center.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, with a visitation from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior at the D.W. Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Marvin was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., to Ramon Juiliano and Santa Cotitta. He was a graduate from Wyandotte High School, served in the U.S.M.C during WWII, and graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute. Marvin married his wife, Barbara, on Sept. 18, 1970. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad with over 40 years of service, and did design work for the Rose Restaurant Supply Co. Marvin or "Juili" as his wife Barbara and many others called him, loved to travel. He also loved to golf and was very proud of his hole in one. Golf was his passion surpassed only by his love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and two granddaughters. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Juiliano; children, Raymond Juiliano, Danielle Frank, Donalda McLaughlin, Susan Duncan, and Joyce Donnelly; 14 grandchildren and two great granddaughters; a sister, Mary N. Widener; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
