Mary Burrows

Mary Lou (Welch) Burrows, 92, passed from this life to her Heavenly reward on 8 June 2022, surrounded by family members.  She was born in Nevada, MO on 21 Jun 1929; the oldest daughter of Richie L. & Malinda M. (Dahmer) Welch.   She was married to Alvin Dwaine Burrows in Deerfield, MO on 19 Nov 1950.    They were blessed with two sons, Steven D. & Terry W. Burrows.  Mary Lou was a faithful church member throughout her life until health prevented it, and a God-fearing Christian dedicated to faithfully serving their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was a loving & caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and neighbor.  Mary Lou leaves behind her beloved husband, Alvin Dwaine Burrows; two sisters, Marjorie D. Johnston of Olathe, KS; & Myrle H. Jones of Leawood, KS; a son & wife, Steven D. & Renee M. Burrows of Gravois Mills; & ex-daughter-in-law Cheryl E. Burrows, of Overland Park, KS; 4 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Her son Terry W., her parents, and her brother, Ernest L. Welch proceeded her in death.  No funeral service is planned, but visitation for family and friends will be 9-11am Monday, June 13th at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS, Interment will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery, located on 900 E. National Avenue, Fort Scott, Kansas.
