Mary Faust

Mary Jayne Faust passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, Fred and family on November, 11, 2010 at Overland Park Regional Hospital following complications from a brain tumor.
Mary Jayne was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on January 16, 1942. She was the third of five children born to the late Melvin and Mary Hesler. She was a 1960 graduate of Turkey Run High School in Indiana and a 1974 graduate of Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri.
She taught school in the Center School District and held sales positions with various companies during her career.
Her first love and dedication was being a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had an unbelievable love for her family.
Mary Jayne and Fred were married on September 4, 1960 and celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on September 4th of this year with their family. They spent their winters in Naples, Florida and summers at their home at the Lake of the Ozarks in addition to their home in Overland Park, Kansas.
She was a member of the Church of The Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas.
Mary Jayne is survived by her husband, Fred, son Steve Faust (Jackie), daughter Melanie Hunter ( Jim), son Brad Faust ( Kristen) and eight grandchildren, Nick, Connor and Alec Faust, Mallory (Chris Peay) and Matt McKinnis, Graham Hunter, Jake and Paige Faust and great granddaughter, Kaelyn Peay, all of Overland Park, Kansas. Sisters Sue Purcell (Paul) Terre Haute, Indiana, Lou Steidel, Naples, Florida, Betty Catlin (Maurie Houseman), Grand Rapids, Michigan, brother, Robert Hesler (Jackie), Noblesville, Indiana, brother-in-law, Richard R. Faust, Clearwater, Florida and several loving nieces and nephews
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November, 15, 2010 at United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Blvd., Leawood, KS 66224. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the church. Private entombment following the service at Johnson County Memorial Gardens Indoor Mausoleum.
