Mary Frances Ferrell, age 80, of Overland Park, Kan., previously of the Springfield, Mo., area, died peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2007, at Menorah Hospital in Overland Park.
She was born January 15, 1927, in Greene County, Mo. Mary Frances was a member of the Unity Church of Overland Park. She was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army. Mrs. Ferrell also played an important role in the establishment of the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City.
She is preceded in death by her husband Don. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Ann and Dave Galloway of Lenexa, Kan., and Jana and Mike Larmer of Monett, Mo.; two granddaughters, Michelle Wollberg and husband Joshua of Nixa, Mo., and Kelli Larmer of Monett.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 20, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield. Donations may be made to the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111.
Mary Frances was everybody's mother and best friend. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
