Mary Raymon Gray, 64, passed away on Oct. 13 at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing Home in Olathe, KS. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park, KS. Mary was born in Fayette, MO., in 1946 to Elberta and Alvin "Munn" Markland. She attended Fayette High School and Central Methodist College in Fayette. Mary married Richard Gray of Columbia, MO., on June 7, 1968, in Fayette. They had one son, Markland. A resident of Overland Park for the last 30 years, Mary worked in staffing/personnel and for the Olathe School District, where she retired in 2006. Mary was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Marvin Patterson of Columbia, MO., and F. Bruce Gray of Columbia, MO. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Overland Park; her son, Markland of San Diego; sister, Shirley Patterson of Columbia, MO.; sister- in-law, Sandra Gray of Columbia, Mo.; nieces Lea Evans of Columbia and Nicki Harriman of Washington, MO.; nephews Lance Patterson of Atlanta, GA., and Andy Gray of Orlando, FL., and several cousins.
