Mary L. LeSuer, 85, Shawnee, KS, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008, at The Sweet Life.
Mary was born March 4, 1923 in Midian, KS, the daughter of Doan Franklin Batdorf and Laura Rachel (Clayton) Batdorf. She was married 57 years to H. Paul LeSuer who preceded her in death on April 1, 2000. Mary and her husband Paul attended school together from kindergarten through high school graduation in Augusta, KS. Mary loved travel, reading, drawing, writing poetry and being with her family.
Survivors include a son, Gary LeSuer and his wife Mary of Lenexa, KS; a daughter, Anita Brush and her husband Terry of Lee's Summit, MO; a brother, Fred Batdorf and his wife Pat of Augusta, KS; four grandchildren, Christine Feliciano, Brandi King, Jeff LeSuer and Jessica Dalton; two step grandchildren, Jeff Brush and Janice Brush; six great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army.
