Mary Margaret Marts

Mary Margaret Marts, 72, of Olathe, KS.  passed away on 12/28/23 in Seneca, KS.  after losing a battle with Cancer.

She was born in Kansas City, MO.  in 1951 to Elmer Lee Jones and Vivian Marie Jones.

She Graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1969 and continued college at Jo. Co. Community College before starting her career of 30 plus years at AT & T before she retired.

Mary Enjoyed the outdoor activities such as fishing, gardening and festivals.  She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spent a lot of her retired years volunteering at Life Church in Olathe and Unleashed Pet Rescue fostering cats. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Vivian Jones and her Husband Richard Marts, and is survived by her brothers; James Jones, and Charlie Jones. Sister Carol Carney, Son Brian Peterson,  Grandchildren Ethan and Emily and  many nieces and nephews.

Mary's Funeral Service will be held at Johnson County Chapel and Memorial Gardens on Jan. 13th, 2024 at 10:00am.  Donations to Unleased Pet Rescue would be greatly appreciated.
