Mary Adele Lamond Paschke ,79, of Stilwell, KS passed away Monday, August 13, 2007.

Mary was born February 21, 1928 to Fred and Anna Skidmore Lamond in Johnson, KS. She was a graduate in the class of 1946 at Osage City High School. After graduation she and a close friend had a dress shop in Osage City before she went to work at the Sunflower Ammunitions Plant. She married her husband in February 1953 and stayed at home with her three children until returning to the work force as a bookkeeper for the K-Mart Corporation. She retired after 25 years and spent her retirement traveling with her husband, working in the garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. In her free time she loved to garden, work in her flower beds and make quilts.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. Kuhn and husband Steve of Overland Park; daughter, Rebecca A. Paschke of Shawnee and her son, Randy J. Paschke of Shawnee. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Michael of Topeka and one brother, Duane Lamond of Osage City, KS; two grandchildren, Stacy Schraad and Jeffrey Kuhn, both of Overland Park; two great grandchildren, Angelis & Naylah Schraad; many nieces and nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Paschke; one brother, Thomas Lamond and three sisters, Deannie Edwards, Vera Walls, and Jessie Carlson.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16th, 2007 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons, Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel on Friday, August 17th at 10:00 a. m. with burial to follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
