Mary Lou Sisson, age 91, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Mary Lou was born on November 11, 1923 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lewis and Beatrice Miles. She married Walter T. Sisson in 1944. She was a homemaker throughout their 28 years of marriage. She obtained a BA degree from Oklahoma A&M in 1945. After Walter’s death, she went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank where she was employed for 14 years. She enjoyed bridge, gardening and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Allen; her husband, Walter; her twin brother, Robert Miles and her dear friend of many years, Robert Noack.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Hanna Sano (Peter), her daughter, Lynn Beets (Mike), her grandchildren Lisa Puckett, Carole Hicks, Richard Sano, Nancy Magill, Stephanie Walsh and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on March 10th at 1:00 pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Gentiva Hospice who was supportive and so helpful during this difficult time.
