Mary Speers

Mary Louise Speers was born March 21, 1921 on at farm that is now part of the Johnson County Community College grounds. She was married to James L. Speers for 52 years and spent most of their lives in Olathe, KS. She was preceded in death by her mother Anne Goodloe, father Ray Goodloe both of Olathe and her sister Lois Bauman of Shawnee Mission, KS. She was proud of her membership in the DAR and local PEO organization and was one of the oldest living members of the First Presbyterian Church of Olathe. Preceding her in death was her great grand-daughter, Vivian Monroe Speers.  Mary Lou is survived by her son James “Kent” Speers and his wife Peggy of Locust Grove Oklahoma, Four Grand Children, Chris Weiss and wife Besa, daughter Samantha and son Nathan all of St. Louis, MO, Kevin Weiss and wife Amanda and daughters Mackenzie and Camryn of Jenks, OK, Kelly Cushman and husband Chris and daughter Anna and son Zachary of Fort Gibson, OK and James C. Speers and wife Melanie and son James Oliver and daughter Everly of St. Augustine, FL.
