Mary Jane Starbuck, 75, passed away December 24, 2018 at KC Hospice House. Jane was born February 18, 1943 to Everett & Lavona Barger in Narcissa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Afton High School in 1960. She didn’t waste any time marrying her high school sweetheart, Jerry Starbuck on August 27, 1960. Jane was a homemaker and raised 2 children in Overland Park, KS. Jane & Jerry were members of Brookridge Country Club for 41 years and then joined Country Club of Leawood. She was an avid golfer and competed throughout the city. But what she loved the most was the Nineteenth Hole and socializing with her friends. She & Jerry did everything together, from playing golf, going to Chiefs games, watching Oklahoma football and KU basketball. She was outspoken, stubborn, loving, feisty and one of a kind. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Earnest & Raymond Barger. She is survived by her brother Lawrence Barger, sister Bobbie Mullins (Herman), sister-in-law Carolyn Barger, her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry; daughter Kimberly Jane Paine (Scott), son Scott Starbuck; grandchildren Travis (Ashleigh), Abby Jane & Corbin Paine and Hannah and Chloe Jane Starbuck; great grandbaby Oaklynn Jane Rhoad and lots of nieces and nephews.
