Mary Jane Walker

Mary Jane Walker passed away peacefully in Overland Park, KS, on June 12th, 2019.

Mary Jane was born in Beaumont, TX on August 3rd, 1940.  She lived in numerous places throughout her life including, Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, England, Wyoming Missouri and Kansas

On December 26th, 1957, Mary Jane married William Jones Walker, Jr. (Bill), who passed away in 2018. Bill and Mary Jane were married for 61 years.  Praise the Lord that they are united once again, for eternity.

Mary Jane is survived by her four children, Lorene Detzner, Michelle Walker, William Lance Walker, Sr. (Lance) and Molly Hartweger;  13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mary Jane was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Whether her husband’s career took her to Wyoming or London she always managed to create a warm home for her family. She was active both in her children’s lives and in serving her Lord Jesus in many different churches throughout her years. She was quiet but faithful in all she did. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 1:30-2 PM, service 2 PM, on Thursday, June 20, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.
