Maurice "Mo" Lenninger
Mo Lenninger, 84, of Overland Park, KS, passed away May 4, 2012, at home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, KS 66209. Graveside services to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Mo was born April 11, 1928, in Olpe, KS, to Andrew and Mary (Diebolt) Lenninger. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. For 42 years he worked for Santa Fe Railroad, ending his career as a section foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Edith Lenninger; and granddaughter, Asia Kuhns.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Yolanda; sisters, Helen Richard and Charlene Hotzel; son, Dan Lenninger (Brenda); daughters, Kerry Lenninger, Tama Byrnes (Terry), and Keyna Lamb (Gene); stepchildren, Jim Jeffers (Linda), Jeanne Dush (John), Michael Jeffers (Maureen), Maureen Jeffers (Matt Hamilton), and Gail Kuhns (Ken); 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
