MAURICE F. WOULFE

Maurice Francis Woulfe, 94, Mission, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015, at Shawnee Gardens.  A visitation will be held from 6 – 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 7th , at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday, at the chapel.  Entombment will be in the Old Rugged Cross Mausoleum at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  Contributions in memory of Maurice may be given for Patsy’s care and sent to Life Centers of Kansas, 6925 West 151st Street, Overland Park, KS 66223-3356. Maurice was born August 12, 1920, at home in Kansas City, Missouri, to Richard Joseph Woulfe and Nellie Marie (Kearney) Woulfe. He joined the Army on September 19, 1942, and was honorably discharged on January 3, 1946. He served in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon during WWII.  He was awarded 5 medals during his service.  Maurice was a plumber for the Local Union 8.  He was married to Audrey Ellen Swartz, who preceded him in death on December 19, 2003.  He is survived by two daughters; Patricia Lee Patterson and Terry Jean Watson and husband Jerry; son, Larry Maurice Woulfe and wife Kate Bedier; grandchildren; Jennifer Ray Halls, Jerika Woulfe Glatt and husband Ryan, Kristin Marie Whittington and husband Chuck, Micah Woulfe and Jonathan Woulfe; Great grandsons; Timothy John Halls, Zachary Gene Halls, Samuel Winter Halls and Ian Allan Glatt; and great granddaughters; Seren Fiona Whittington and Lola Inez Whittington.  Fond memory and condolences for the family may be left at www.johnsoncountychapel.com
