Melva Maupin

Melva G. Maupin, 85, died February 24, 2015.  She was born December 26, 1929, to Melvin and Alma Puckett.  She was a lifelong Kansas City area resident.  She graduated from Wyandotte High School and retired from Missouri Bank and Trust after 44 years.  She was a member of Beatrice Chapter #450, Order of the Eastern Star, and received her 50 year pin in 2010.  Melva loved to play cards and dominoes.  A visitation will be held at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas, on March 4th from 11:00 - 12:00 followed by a service from 12 to 1p.m.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetary following the service. Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, son, Charles Lee, and sister Nancy Yonts.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Robin Maupin, granddaughter, Nicole Wiseman (Ricky), and grandson, Cody Maupin. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to KC Hospice 1500 Meadowlake Pkwy, Suite 200, KC, MO 64114.
