Merlyn Bowman (nee Stenger)

Merlyn Bowman (nee Stenger), 91, of Lenexa, passed away Tuesday, November 15 after a brief illness. Merlyn was born August 23, 1925 in Kansas City, MO and lived the majority of her life in the Kansas City metro area, most recently at Lakeview Senior Living Community. She was a graduate of Westport High School and a longtime employee of KPL Gas Service Company. After her retirement she could often be found traveling through the United States by motorcoach or attending a production at one of her favorite theatres.
Merlyn is survived by one son, Steven Bowman of Washington, D.C., a granddaughter, Melissa (Andrew) Grizzle of St. Peters, MO and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Moss Lux and stepfather, Harold Lux.
The family requests any gifts of remembrance be given to the American Tinnitus Association or the Chestnut Fine Arts Center in Olathe.
