Michael W. Jones, 53, Richmond, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 7, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society, 5445 Parallel Pkwy., Kansas City, Kansas 66104. Mike was born September 22, 1956 in San Diego, CA. He worked for the Public Safety System as a Firefighter and Dispatcher for over 30 years.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Leland Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Sponemore; son, Stephen (Kathy) Jones; daughter, Lisa (John) Curtis; grandchildren, Lacey, Amber, and Jack; brothers, Gary, Tracy, and Kevin; and sisters, Kathy Sbisa and Laura Jones.
