Michael S. Odgen, age 63, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, December 24, 2011. A celebration of his life will be held at Christ Church-Anglican, 5500 W 91st St, Overland Park, KS, where he had been a member for 30 years. Michael's memorial service will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM, with inurnment in Disciple's Garden at the church following.
Michael was born in Baltimore, MD on May 16, 1947 to Robert and Anna Ogden, who preceded him in death. He moved to Kansas City in 1972 as the Warehouse Manager for Ben Franklin Stores. In 1988, he became a manager at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He moved on to open the DC in Loveland, CO and later in Ottawa, KS until retiring from Wal-Mart after 20 years. Most recently Mike worked for the IRS.
Survivors include Pamela Driscoll Ogden of Overland Park, KS; their daughter, Ashley (Daniel) Gamon of Kansas City, KS; son, Grant Ogden of Charleston, SC and one brother, Dale Ogden of San Pedro, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church-Anglican or the Children's Miracle Network.
