Michael J. Sullivan, age 84, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Michael was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 24, 1924 and was a long time resident of Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was employed by the City of Mount Vernon for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Balo Sullivan of 59 years, his daughter Carol (Donald) Skaja of Overland Park, Kansas, his son Mark (Sondra Ray) Sullivan of Nashville, Tennessee, his daughter-in-law Susan Sipos of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his granddaughter Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Skaja.
A Memorial Service will be held at Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th Street, Overland Park, Kansas on Thursday, August 27th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, 9221 Ward Parkway Suite 100, Kansas City, Missouri, 64114 or on-line at www.kansascityhospice.org.
