Michael Ray Tyree, 59, of Kansas City, Missouri, went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 12, 2014, surrounded by those who loved him deeply, at his side.
Michael was born on December 07, 1954, in Rapid City, South Dakota. He spent most of his childhood in Colorado, before graduating from Widefield High School in 1973. He joined the United States Navy, got married, and after discharging from the Navy, he moved to Kansas City in 1979, where he began raising his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Michael was an out-going, easy-go-lucky guy who could make anyone laugh. Being the class clown, it was always a good time, when Michael was there. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, who would seldom miss a game. He touched many lives while passing through on his journey to Heaven. He will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his four children, Jeremy Tyree and his wife, Judy, Aaron Tyree and his wife, Evelyn, Rachel Tyree-Bills and her husband, Kris, Sarah Tyree-Harmon and her husband, Ryan, 7 grandchildren; Allee, Timothy, Nevaeh , Ariella, Aeden , Gabriel, and Christian; his father, James Tyree; sisters Karin Ivy and Kelly Tyree, his brother Steve Tyree; and the rest of his relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on February 19, 2014 at the Chapel.
