Michelle Ann Harold (Swan)

Michelle Harold passed away on April 13, 2020.  She was born April 27, 1961 in Lyons, New York to Charles and Mary Ann Swan.

Michelle graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School, class of 1979.  Following graduation she attended Kansas State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Textiles and was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority from 1979-1983.

Michelle enjoyed her work as a paralegal.  She loved helping others and found success in taking care of family and friends. She was an active seamstress and could often be found making clothes for her daughter, mother, sister and nieces.  Later she taught herself to knit and crochet.

Michelle was a devoted mother and cheerleader for her daughter Samantha’s activities and achievements.  Many of her fondest moments were watching her daughter perform on the stage.

In 2012 Michelle met Les Evalds.  They were engaged in December 2018. They lived a happy and loving life together.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father Charles W. Swan and mother Mary Ann Swan.  Survivors include her daughter, Samantha of Iowa, fiance Les of Olathe, sister Charlene and husband Tim of Overland Park, brother Christopher and wife Barbara of Olathe, nieces and nephews; Jake (Erin),Lauren, Jordan, Carley, Aliza and great-nephew Evan.

A private service for family only will be held Thursday at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers please make contributions to The American Heart Association in memory of Michelle Harold.
