ALEXANDER, Myron Leonard, Professional Educator, 97, of Largo, FL; died July 31, 2013.
He was born in Putnam, OK on Apr. 15, 1916 to Lawrence Leonard and Nellie Mae (Munson). He received his B.S., Southwestern State Tchrs. Coll., 1949 and M.S. KS State Tchrs. Coll. 1957. His career led him to appointed Supt. Sch., Coyville, KS 1949-50; Princ. Severy, KS Grade Sch. 1950-54, Stanley, KS Grade Sch. 1954-61; tchr. Brookwood, Sch., Leawood, KS, 1961-63; Johnson County KS Supt. Pub. Instrn. Olathe, KS, 1963-66; Unified Supt. Schs. Sch. Dist. No. 337, Mayetta, KS, 1966-67. High Sch. Prin. /Supt. Silver Lake, KS. 1967-79. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, 1941-45 and was decorated with the Bronze Star Medal. He was a member of N.E.A., Am. Assn. Sch. Adminstrs., KS State Tchrs. Assn.
He was preceded in death by his wives, E. Mona Foust, Oct. 1941 and Ruth A. Hankla, Apr. 1994.
He is survived by his children, Karol Kay Pravda (Charles), James Leon Alexander (Sheryl), Janis Marie Kloiber (Chet); grandchildren, Carolyn Warf, Christopher and Marc Capobianco (Pravda), William, Sheila, Jesse, Steven (Alexander), Robin and Shannon (Kloiber)and 7 great grandchildren.
