Nancy D. Grimme, age 93, passed away June 17, 2016 after an extended illness. Nancy was born in 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Chester and Margaret DuMont. She is survived by her friends at Lakeview Village in Lenexa, KS.
Nancy had a full life over her 93 years. Early in her career, Nancy worked for Jenkins Music Store where she developed her love of classical music. While working, Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Library Science from Kansas City University. Nancy enjoyed many years working as a librarian.
Nancy was an extensive traveler and lover of all things classical. Although Nancy never had her own children, she considered her many students and neighbors family.
