Nancy Scherrer White, 65, passed away April 20th, 2016 in Kansas City, MO of lung cancer surrounded by her family. She was born on February 18th, 1951 in Prairie Village, KS to Dan and Shirley Scherrer. She grew up in Prairie Village, KS and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Miami.
Nancy’s first thought was always her family and ensuring their care and happiness was her chief concern. She loved spending time with her family, as well as her beloved dog, Baker. Watching movies, traveling, reading, and horse showing were among her favorite activities.
Above all, Nancy was a loving mother, had a great sense of humor, and was a wonderful friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Scherrer, her mother, Shirley Scherrer, and brother, Richard Scherrer.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Danny White; brothers Dan, Mike, and Jeff Scherrer, loving children Evan White, Collin White and Jordan (White) Stephenson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 at 12:00pm at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel in Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be given to Kansas City Catholic Charities
