Nell Rucker

Nell J. Rucker passed away April 5, 2016.  A visitation will be held on Monday April 11, 2016 from 10-11:00am at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf with a graveside service immediately following in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  Nell graduated from Salisbury Missouri High School in 1943. She was very active in the Salisbury High School Band, pep squad and editor in chief of the high school paper “Panther” and other organizations.  She married Frank H. Rucker September 2, 1945 and she was a stay at home mom.  She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, W.F. Fidler and Clayton Fidler.  She is survived by a son, Ray Rucker(Carol) of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Jeanne Kay Rucker Collins, Santa Clara, CA; three grandchildren: Trevor Collins, Renee Walczak (Mike) and Melanie Lyons(Joe); two great grandchildren: Matthew Walczak and Andrew Walczak; two nieces: Deanna Fidler and Deborah Devonshire.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contribution donations be made to Crossroads Hospice of Lenexa, 11150 Thompson Ave. Lenexa, KS 66219.
