Nella Adriana Westrate Sikkel “Ade”, 94, Overland Park, Kansas passed away November 28, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. A gathering for family and friends will begin an hour prior to the service. Entombment will be immediately following in Johnson County Memorial Gardens
Born in Holland, Michigan, Adriana graduated from Holland High School and married her high school sweetheart, Peter on January 25, 1941. Together they had two sons, Doug and Mark. Ade was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother for 73 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, crossword puzzles and word games, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Peter; sons, Doug Sikkel of Overland Park and Mark Sikkel (Maria) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Melinda Cobbs (Allen) of Dallas, TX, Ryan Sikkel (Jennifer) of Overland Park, KS, Erin Barry (David) of Gig Harbor, WA, Kaylan Sikkel of Dallas TX, Meghan Sikkel of Dallas, TX; and 5 great grandchildren.
