NORMA JEAN COLE
Norma Jean Cole, 84, of Overland Park, KS, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 29, 2010. A celebration of Norma’s life will be 11:00 am, Monday, December 6 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Sunflower Health Care (Hospice), 7398 West 162nd Terrace, Stilwell, KS 66085.
Norma was born May 28, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas to Bernard and Gertrude Malott. She met the love of her life, Roscoe, while working at Sears where they both worked. They married shortly after. She later went on to work for the IRS for 20 years and was a member of the KC Primitive Baptist church.
Norma always wanted to help whenever and whoever she could. Her best friend called her an angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Glen Malott; and sister, Wanda Bell.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles Roscoe Cole; son, Ron Cole and wife, Mary of HI; daughter, Vicki Alexander and husband, Don of Overland Park and granddaughter, Ali.
