Norma "Jean" (Panian) Talarico, 83, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at Brookdale Sweetlife in Overland Park KS.
Jean was born in Joliet, IL in 1930 and she resided there until 1970. She then moved to Washington, IL for 25 years and then back to Joliet until her move to Kansas City to be near her youngest son in 2010. Jean was a Registered Nurse for many years and retired from Neurological Associates of Peoria. While raising three boys and working full time Jean attended nursing school, achieving no less than straight A's. When her boys were young, she was active in Scouts and was president of the Troy grade school PTA. She and her husband enjoyed camping and spent many happy times with their family and friends at sites across the country. Later Jean was a volunteer at the Free Medical Clinic in Peoria, a member of the Easter Seals, Holly Club, Red Hatters and the CCW of St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Most of all, she was a loving mother and devoted wife.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August "Gus" and Helen Panian and her brother, John Panian.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank B. Talarico; three sons, Gary Talarico, Mark Talarico and Chris (Dawnia) Talarico; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at St. Michaels the Archangel, 14251 Nall, Leawood, KS 66223. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
