Ok Cha Yi, of Raymore, MO passed away November, 14 2010. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00p.m. Tuesday, November 16, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 17th at 10:00 a.m.
Ok Cha was born March 1, 1946 in Suncheon, South Korea to Kye Yeon Hwang and Hwal Eun Choi. She came to America in 1976 and moved to Kansas in 1979. She was the owner and operator of Lee’s Alteration. Ok Cha served in the Korean United Presbyterian Chruch of Kansas where she was a devout Christian.
Survivors include her brothers Il Ryong Hwang, and In Tae Hwang, sisters Ok Jin Hwang, and Ok Shim Hwang, niece Ara Ju, her husband Ji-Seok Ju, and their children Jeffrey and Jenna Ju. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.johnsoncountychapel.com
