Onofrio Mannino, 87, of Leawood, KS passed away March 31, 2008.
Onofrio was born May 22, 1920 in Carini, Sicily. He was married to his loving wife, Rosaria, for 69 years. Onofrio and Rosario had three children together. They came to America in 2002 to live with their son and his family. He was loved by everyone that he touched. He was a mentor to many, but especially to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Angela Mannino and Girolama Mannino. He is survived by his wife, Rosaria Mannino; son and daughter-in-law, Vito and Giuseppa Mannino; son-in-law Salvatore Ingargiola; his grandchildren, Onofrio Mannino, Giacomo Mannino, Giuseppe Mannino, Rosario Ingargiola and Vera Accardi; and his nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6-9pm with a rosary held at 7pm at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11am at the funeral chapel. Entombment at Johnson County Memorial Gardens Courtyard of Memories. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
