Ouk H. Shin, 62, of Leawood, KS passed away Friday, May 2, 2014.
She was born on August 10, 1951 to Am I. and Keum B. Chon in Mason, South Korea.
Ouk was a child of God, wife for almost 30 years and a mother of 2.
She was a dedicated member of KPCK and the Korean community since retiring two years ago with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, volunteering and endeavoring in the act of gardening.
She is survived by her husband Tong Shin; one daughter, Joanne Shin; one son, Robert Shin; Chang Ho Chon, Woo Sun Chon, Chang Yoon Chon, Yong Hui Chon, Ouk Hee Jung, Yong Ro Jung, Sun Ae and Waitman sandy.
Graveside Service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, 66210. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, 66210.
