Pamela (Pam) Ann Carrow, age 57, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly at the University of Kansas Medical Center on Saturday, January 10, 2009, from kidney complications.
Born on April 17, 1951 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, Pam was the daughter of the late Glenn T. and Mary Lucile Stotler. She grew up and went to school in Farmington, Missouri, served as a Job’s daughter and Past Honored Queen, and later attended college at South East Missouri State. She then married her high school sweetheart, Leo F. Carrow Jr.
Pam became a school teacher at Our Lady’s Catholic School in Festus, Missouri and later worked as a Dental Assistant in Farmington, Missouri. Following the arrival of her first daughter, she proudly took up the role of homemaker for nine years before beginning her telecommunications career with MCI in 1982. She later transitioned to Sprint, Inc., in 1986, starting as a Network Technical Specialist in the Network Operations Control Center prior to working her way up the ranks as an Account Manager, Supervisor and finally a Process Manager for the National Customer Service / Network Services division in 2005. For the past three years, Pam had been working as a Program Manager at Sprint/Embarq.
Pam is survived by her two daughters, Carrie Carrow Arendale and Julie Ann Carrow; two grandchildren, Ellason and Reid Arendale; and sister, Shana Hill.
Visitation Services will be held at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons’ Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, located at 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, from 10 to 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2009. A memorial service will begin at 11 A.M.
